Thornton Academy has gone a perfect 9-0 against Deering recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Thornton Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

Thornton Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Marshwood on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-7 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Theresa Eng, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Dattilo, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs.

Thornton Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Deering and Massabesic, and Massabesic kept the tradition alive. The Rams came up short against the Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 17-10.

Deering's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Thornton Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
