Basketball Recap: Gilead Christian Comes Up Short

Gilead Christian played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Northmor Golden Knights 63-34. The Eagles were down 59-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Northmor's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooksten Beck, who on his way to 15 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Bowdre, who posted 12 points and five steals.

Gilead Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Northmor, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Gilead Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Temple Christian at 7:00 p.m. Gilead Christian is facing Temple Christian at the right time seeing as Temple Christian is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Northmor, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-41 win against Tree of Life Christian on the 24th.
