Volleyball Recap: Dawson-Bryant Takes a Loss

Dawson-Bryant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Chesapeake Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While Dawson-Bryant was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-14.

Bre Scarberry was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and three assists. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Dawson-Bryant's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Chesapeake, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dawson-Bryant is set to face off against their familiar foe Gallia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chesapeake will take on rival South Point at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
