Baseball Recap: Dexter Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Dexter barely beat Bedford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dreadnaughts put the hurt on the Kicking Mules with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Dreadnaughts in their matchups with the Kicking Mules: they've now won seven in a row.

Mason McAllister spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cole Novara was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 12 contests. Another player making a difference was Brady Arbaugh, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Dexter's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bedford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

Dexter will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Kicking Mules: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
