Springboro is a perfect 10-0 against Springfield since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Springboro's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Springfield's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Jacob Rhinehart was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April.

At the plate, Springboro saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Veletean, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Fairborn.

Elijah Cave was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-17-1. As for Springboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9.

Springfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Springboro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. It's a different story for Springfield, though, as they've only averaged .253. Will they be able to contain Springboro's hitters?

Everything went Springboro's way against Springfield in their previous matchup back in April, as Springboro made off with a 9-3 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
