Baseball Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

Canton and Somers squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Canton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 7-6. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

John Ewen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Liam Cork also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Somers, their record now sits at 15-4.

Canton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Somers, they will challenge Lakeview at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Bobcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
