Basketball Recap: Clewiston Piles Up the Points Against Glades Day

Clewiston had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 37-point drubbing they dealt Glades Day on Tuesday. The Clewiston Tigers blew past the Glades Day Gators 44-7. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season.

Clewiston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyra Fields, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Fields is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Kalyn Johnson was another key player, putting up nine points along with five assists and four steals.

Clewiston was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Clewiston's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Glades Day, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
