Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran hasn't had much luck against Blair-Taylor recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lancers will take on the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran came up short against Regis and fell 10-7. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rachel Kazemba was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Kazemba was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Lydia Kloke led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Wales, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Blair-Taylor made sure to put some runs up on the board against Black River Falls on Friday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 11-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Blair-Taylor, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran took their victory against Blair-Taylor when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
