Soccer Recap: Anacortes Comes Up Short

Anacortes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lynden Lions. Anacortes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lynden apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Anacortes' defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-2. As for Lynden, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Anacortes will take on rival Blaine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lynden is set to square off against their familiar foe Sehome at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
