Grapeland found their leader in underclassman Mikayla Woods, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 13 rebounds, and ten steals. Woods is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Brylei Howard was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with four steals.
Grapeland pushed their record up to 10-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.67 points. As for Latexo, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Grapeland will head out on the road to take on Lovelady at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
