            Baseball Preview: Scranton Prep Cavaliers vs. West Scranton Invaders        
        
		
        
        
            The Scranton Prep Cavaliers will take on the West Scranton Invaders at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Neither Scranton Prep nor West Scranton posted many  runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Scranton Prep and Valley View meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Saturday. The Cavaliers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Cougars  a   2-0 shutout. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Cavaliers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Not much got past  Paul Rusincovitch, who gave up just  two  hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Valley View off the board. Rusincovitch also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Scranton Prep is 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 1-10 otherwise.
 At the plate, Scranton Prep's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jake Murnock, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Meanwhile, West Scranton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They fell  5-2 to Valley View. Invaders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cougars since  on Monday.
 Scranton Prep's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for West Scranton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
