League recap: Corrales dominating on the mound for Winters

Winters's Christian Corrales was the best pitcher in Butte View this week. He won two games and struck out nine batters.

Sutter (29-3, 12-0) has won 16 games in a row, the league's longest active win streak. In the past week, the Huskies won another game,.

Sutter's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 12 hits and six walks, both of which led the league.

The Warriors stole 16 bases this week, adding to their league-leading 100 steals on the year.

The league boasted six .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Adam Martinez, who hit .700 by going 7-for-10.

Adam Martinez led the league with seven hits this week for Winters. He is second in the league with 45 hits this year, and has a .459 batting average.



Brad Bonnenfant drove in four runners on Saturday in the Huskies' 15-13 victory over Yreka. He went 2-for-2 and scored three runs.

Bonnenfant led Sutter to a win on May 14, as he notched nine strikeouts to beat Wheatland, 3-1. Over his seven innings pitched he allowed one run on zero hits.
