La Costa Canyon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, La Costa Canyon fell to 2-1. As for Torrey Pines, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Torrey Pines beat La Costa Canyon 3-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Torrey Pines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
