Basketball Game Preview: Arlington Red Devils vs. Columbus Grove Bulldogs

The Arlington Red Devils will head out on the road to take on the Columbus Grove Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Arlington was able to grind out a solid win over Ada, taking the game 40-27.

Meanwhile, Columbus Grove waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 72-32 victory over the Panthers. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 23 point advantage.

Columbus Grove pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

Arlington came up short against Columbus Grove when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 45-32. Can Arlington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
