Volleyball Recap: Payette Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Payette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Emmett Huskies. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Huskies when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Payette started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-17.

Payette's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Emmett, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Payette is set to challenge their familiar foe Weiser at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Emmett will face off against rival Homedale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
