Basketball Recap: Novi Comes Up Short

Novi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 53-27 to the Canton Cobras. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-37 back in January.

Novi's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Canton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Novi and Canton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Novi (ranked 498th) will meet Salem (ranked 210th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Canton will challenge Northville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 194 places (254 vs. 60).
