Softball Game Preview: Calhoun Red Devils vs. Valley Lumberjacks

The Calhoun Red Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Valley Lumberjacks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calhoun is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Calhoun's offense. They came up short against Ritchie County on Tuesday, falling 14-0.

Meanwhile, Valley suffered their closest loss since March 31st on Monday. They fell just short of Tyler by a score of 8-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Calhoun, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Calhoun suffered a grim 17-7 defeat to Valley in their previous matchup last Monday. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
