Volleyball Game Preview: Cheyenne Wells Tigers vs. Springfield Longhorns + How To Watch

The Cheyenne Wells Tigers will head out to take on the Springfield Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cheyenne Wells duked it out with Flagler on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Panthers. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Springfield didn't have quite enough to beat Las Animas on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the Longhorns didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-19 in the first set.

Springfield couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Las Animas a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 255-23, 15-25, 15-9.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Cheyenne Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Cheyenne Wells came out on top in a nail-biter against Springfield when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
