Basketball Recap: East Valley Takes a Loss

East Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 54-43 to the Lakeside Eagles. The Knights lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 80-41 score last time.

East Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lakeside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

East Valley will finish 2024 at home by hosting Newport at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. East Valley is facing Newport at the right time seeing as Newport is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Lakeside will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Cascade Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
