Soccer Recap: Smyrna Comes Up Short

Smyrna fought the good fight in their overtime game against Sussex Central on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Knights by a score of 2-1. Smyrna were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sussex Central apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Smyrna is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12. As for Sussex Central, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-5 record.

Coming up, Smyrna will face off against St. Mark's at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sussex Central, they will take on Polytech at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
