Soccer Recap: Martin County Comes Up Short

Martin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 7-2 to the Cardinal Newman Crusaders. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Luciana Licht and Shelby Gosman scored both of Martin County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 38 goals.

Martin County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Cardinal Newman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Martin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cardinal Newman has already played their next match (against Treasure Coast), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
