Soccer Recap: Giles County Takes a Loss

Giles County managed to keep up with Hillsboro until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Giles County lost 4-0 to Hillsboro. While losing is never fun, Giles County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Hillsboro are ranked ninth).

Giles County now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Hillsboro, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1-1.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Giles County duke it out with Fayetteville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillsboro, they will take on Hunters Lane at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hunters Lane will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Hillsboro surely won't give up without a fight.
