Volleyball Recap: Plainfield East Comes Up Short

Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the York Dukes. The Bengals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dukes from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for York, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Plainfield East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Hononegah on the 26th. As for York, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Brother Rice on the 26th.
