Volleyball Recap: South Bend Saint Joseph Takes a Loss

South Bend Saint Joseph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valparaiso Vikings.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12.

Logan Gutermuth paced South Bend Saint Joseph's offense, picking up six kills. Gutermuth got some help from Run Li and his nine assists.

South Bend Saint Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Valparaiso, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-7.

Coincidentally, South Bend Saint Joseph and Valparaiso will both be playing Fort Wayne South Side the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Archers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Huskies will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
