Basketball Recap: Coleville Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jaymarion Swan and Kegan Armold

Coleville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-30 heartbreaker at the hands of the Carlin Railroaders.

Coleville's loss came despite strong showings from Kegan Armold and JayMarion Swan. Armold dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Swan posted three points and seven rebounds. That was a full 46.7% of Coleville's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Carlin was led to victory by Gage Lewis and Leonidas Krantz. Lewis had 17 points, while Krantz earned 15 points. That's the most points Krantz has posted since back in January.

Coleville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Carlin, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coleville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 31-20 victory against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 13th. As for Carlin, they will welcome Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
