Volleyball Recap: Oswego East Takes a Loss

Oswego East was the 2-1 winner over Minooka when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians on Tuesday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20.

Xander Horst paced Oswego East's offense, picking up five kills. Horst got some help from Max Coleman and his 12 assists. Coleman also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Alec Gesiakowski, racking up two apiece.

Oswego East's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Minooka, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Oswego East will venture away from home to take on Joliet Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Minooka, they will take on Lane Tech in a tournament on Thursday.
