After losing to Nimitz the last time they met, Spring decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Spring Lions won by a goal and slipped past the Nimitz Cougars 5-4. It was an even better day for Emily Mendez as she scored three goals for her team.

The win made it two in a row for Spring and bumps their season record up to 6-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two games. As for Nimitz, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring will venture away from home to take on Aldine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aldine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.6 goals per game this season. Nimitz will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on MacArthur at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th. MacArthur also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 5 goals per game.
