Basketball Recap: Rochester Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Rochester won the last time they faced Caston, and Drew Bowers did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Rochester Zebras' way against the Caston Comets on Tuesday as the Rochester Zebras made off with a 76-56 victory thanks in part to Bowers, who almost dropped a double-double on 48 points and nine steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Reinartz, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played.

Caston's loss came despite strong showings from Logan Mollenkopf and Lane Hook. Mollenkopf went 6 of 13 en route to 18 points and five rebounds, while Hook went 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points. Gavin Mollenkopf was another key player, putting up six points and six boards.

Rochester has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Caston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Rochester has already played their next contest, a 60-44 win against Northfield on the 31st. As for Caston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-39 victory against Pioneer on the 31st.
