Basketball Recap: Clairemont Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clairemont can now relate to. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maranatha Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The match was a 27-27 toss-up at halftime, but the Chieftains couldn't quite close it out.

Will Ralston had a dynamite game for Maranatha Christian, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards. That's the most points Ralston has posted since back in December of 2024. Cole Niguidula was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Clairemont's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Maranatha Christian, their record now sits at 14-15.

Clairemont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maranatha Christian, they will host Canyon Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season.
