Volleyball Recap: Kit Carson Comes Up Short

Kit Carson lost against Fowler back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Grizzlies.

Kit Carson was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-22.

Shay Rady paced Kit Carson's offense, picking up eight kills. Rady got some help from Avery Johnson and her six assists. Johnson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Elizabeth Kent, each putting up two.

Among those leading the charge was Izzy Pharr, who had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since September 4th. Syriah Alvarez also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Kit Carson's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Fowler, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Kit Carson will venture away from home to square off against Wiley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fowler, they will welcome Lamar at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
