There's no place like home for Tomball Memorial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Magnolia West Mustangs on Tuesday as they made off with a 9-2 win. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in March, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.
Lauren Coombs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
