High Point hadn't done well against Eleanor Roosevelt recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over the Raiders. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Jadiel Soto made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Soto was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one double.

High Point's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

High Point has already played their next game, a 16-6 win against Wise on the 13th. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-6 victory against Flowers on the 15th.
