Softball Recap: Douglas Wins Going Away Against Desert View

Douglas won the last time they faced Desert View and things went their way on Friday too. Douglas blew past Desert View 10-1. Considering the Bulldogs have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hailey Barco was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dominique Munoz, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Douglas and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Desert View, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Douglas has already played their next matchup, a 12-1 victory against Rio Rico on the 21st. As for Desert View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-7 win against Bisbee on the 21st.
