Basketball Recap: Ingomar Comes Up Short

Ingomar has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Union Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-51 back in November.

Ingomar's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for West Union, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Ingomar won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Coffeeville at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Coffeeville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Ingomar likes a good challenge. As for West Union, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Pontotoc at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
