Baseball Recap: Shadow Hills Has No Trouble Against Carter

Shadow Hills had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Carter on Wednesday. The Shadow Hills Knights put the hurt on the Carter Lions with a sharp 11-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Knights' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Russel Limon looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Ernesto Ibarra was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaac Munoz, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Shadow Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Shadow Hills picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Carter, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Shadow Hills has already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against Indio on the 3rd. Carter will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Gorgonio at 3:45 p.m. on March 12th.
