Recap: Pender Patriots vs. Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs

The Pender Patriots can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Wallace-Rose Hill by a score of 53-45. The victory was just what Pender needed coming off of a 75-51 defeat in their prior contest.

Pender's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Hansley led the charge by scoring 20 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Hansley scored 15 or more points. Ryan Howell was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.

Pender's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Pender will be playing at home against Heide Trask at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heide Trask knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Pender likes a good challenge. Wallace-Rose Hill will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against James Kenan at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd. James Kenan will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
