Soccer Game Preview: Cedartown vs. Darlington

The Cedartown Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Darlington Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedartown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Cedartown's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Pepperell. The win made it back-to-back victories for Cedartown.

Hanyzell Flores and Julianna Segura scored both of Cedartown's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Meanwhile, Darlington hadn't done well against Coahulla Creek recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Colts by a score of 3-1.

Darlington's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four matches. As for Cedartown, their record is now 8-5.

Cedartown came out on top in a nail-biter against Darlington in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
