Basketball Recap: Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

Heritage Academy lost against Heritage Academy Gateway back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Heritage Academy Heroes were dealt a 50-18 defeat at the hands of the Heritage Academy Gateway Heroes. Heritage Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-4.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Aiyana Sims and Layla Benson, who each put up five points. Jayla Santa Cruz held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Heritage Academy Gateway, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Heritage Academy has already played their next contest, a 58-33 defeat against Ridgeline Academy on the 3rd. Heritage Academy Gateway has also already played their next matchup (against Eduprize), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
