Baseball Recap: Charleston Math & Science Riptide vs. Carvers Bay Bears

Charleston Math & Science extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-5 in the process. They came up short against the Carvers Bay Bears, falling 25-1. The Riptide were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in May of 2022.

As for Carvers Bay, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Carvers Bay's part, they got a massive performance out of Brantley Jones, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Jones has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Bryant Garman, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Charleston Math & Science nor Carvers Bay have any future games scheduled.
