There's no place like home for Cass, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past the Sonoraville Phoenix with a 61-56 victory on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Colonels: when they faced off against the Phoenix back in November, they had to take a 68-56 loss.

Cass has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for Sonoraville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Cass and Sonoraville will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Colonels see the court they'll take on Adairsville at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026. As for Sonoraville, their break will end when they face Rockmart at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026.
