Baseball Recap: Spurger's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Spurger's last matchup with West Hardin could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Pirates lost 12-2 to the Oilers. The Pirates have struggled against the Oilers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Having lost for the first time this season, Spurger fell to 4-1. As for West Hardin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.

Coincidentally, Spurger and West Hardin will both be playing Sabine Pass the next time they take the field. The Pirates will host the Sharks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Oilers will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
