The home team had come away the winner the last six times North Branford and Haddam-Killingworth had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Thunderbirds blew past the Cougars 3-0 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

While North Branford won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 28-26, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Ashley Berardesca and Payton Depino, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Lauren Vitarisi and her 12 assists. Ella Chasanoff controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

North Branford's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Haddam-Killingworth, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

North Branford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Coginchaug Regional on the 6th. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Morgan on the 6th.
