Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Central Academy of Technology & Arts + How To Watch

The Monroe Redhawks will take on the Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Monroe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

Monroe is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 goals last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Parkwood on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Wolf Pack. One thing that didn't help Monroe's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Jordan Moser.

Monroe's goal came courtesy of Jesus Quizapa-Sanchez, who's now up to 18 this season.

Meanwhile, Central Academy of Technology & Arts came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Fighting Scots as they made off with a 6-2 victory. Considering Central Academy of Technology & Arts have won six matchups by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Central Academy of Technology & Arts' win bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for Monroe, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-5-3.

Monroe suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Central Academy of Technology & Arts when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Redhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
