Basketball Game Preview: Ponte Vedra Sharks vs. Booker T. Washington Wildcats

The Ponte Vedra Sharks will face off against the Booker T. Washington Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Ponte Vedra heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Saturday. They were dealt a 73-34 loss at the hands of Beachside.

Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington waltzed into their match on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 46-35. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Eagles are ranked 154th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Booker T. Washington's win came from a few key players Ponte Vedra will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mi'Kel Bonner, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mikerria Bonner, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds.

Booker T. Washington's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Ponte Vedra, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.
