Deep Run is  a perfect 3-0 against Highland Springs since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will welcome the Springers  at 6:00  p.m. Deep Run is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7  runs per game  this season.
Deep Run fell victim to Glen Allen and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They lost  7-0 to the Jaguars. Surprisingly, this marked the Wildcats' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
 Deep Run saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Braelyn Baulsir, who  went 1-for-4 with one  stolen base.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Highland Springs). They were the clear victors by  a  20-5 margin over Armstrong on Friday. The Springers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  victory against them.
 Elise Fleming made a splash no matter where she played. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.1  strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Highland Springs let  Izabella Bowles and  Samantha Gathright run wild. Bowles  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Gathright  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with four  runs and one  stolen base. Those  four  RBI gave  Bowles a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jeimy Gonzalez, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI and one  double.
 Highland Springs was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .364 or higher in four consecutive  matchups.
 Deep Run's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-6. As for Highland Springs, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Highland Springs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Deep Run has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 8.9  hits per game. It's a different story for Highland Springs, though, as  they've been averaging 8.9  hits. Given Deep Run's sizable advantage in that area, the Springers will need to find a way to close that gap.
 Deep Run took their  victory against Highland Springs  in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024 by a conclusive  16-3 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success,  or do  the Springers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
