Soccer Recap: Rutherford Comes Up Short

Rutherford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 6-1 to the Walton Braves. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rutherford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Walton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8.

Rutherford has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Franklin County on the 10th. As for Walton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 defeat against Escambia on the 15th.
