Advanced Math & Science Academy won the last time they faced Assabet Valley RVT and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles walked away with an 8-3 win over the Aztecs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Cole Scully spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Drew Laidley was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Trevor Petty was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Advanced Math & Science Academy's record is now 6-1. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Advanced Math & Science Academy will head out on the road to challenge Uxbridge at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they will welcome Minuteman Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Minuteman will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Aztecs surely won't give up without a fight.
