Wellington never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the South Fork Bulldogs. The Wolverines have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Erryn Lowe was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Gabi De Los Reyes also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Wellington is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for South Fork, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellington will challenge Doral Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolverines 1.8, the Firebirds 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for South Fork, they will take on Martin County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
