Licking Valley's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Lakewood Lancers 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won three in a row.

Licking Valley was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-103), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 14-25, 23-25, 26-24, 25-21, 15-9.

Kylee Waters paced Licking Valley's offense, picking up 15 kills. Waters got some help from Sami Whitehair and her 24 assists. Whitehair was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Licking Valley now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Lakewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Licking Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Licking Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lakewood will face off against rival Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
