Camarillo barely beat Rio Mesa the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Scorpions never let the Spartans get on the board and left with  a   16-0  win  on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Scorpions, who have now won nine contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Alianna Rodriguez was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Laynee Flores, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Camarillo  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rio Mesa only posted  an  OBP of  .118.
Camarillo has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Rio Mesa, their defeat  ended  a  seven-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 14-8.
 Camarillo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  an  11-8  win against Royal on the 29th. As for Rio Mesa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  1-0  loss against Ventura on the 25th.
